For example, you get three verbal sections in the exam, then one of the three will be experimental. One section among the three of the same type is experimental and will not count towards your final score. The sixth section is either a verbal or quant section. These are asked in an alternate fashion, i.e., one quant section after a verbal section. Then there are two Verbal sections and two Quant sections. The first section has two essay type questions. The exam is approximately 4 hours long and consists of 6 sections. Many universities have a certain GRE score threshold below which they do not accept applications. With this article, I would like to add to that collection and help future GRE takers save time and start preparation sooner. Many people have managed to score better with lesser preparation and this is by no means the ONLY way to score 330+.īefore starting my preparation, I spent one or two days just formulating the best preparation plan and finding resources.
