Signal was most likely my favorite drama of 2016, so when I stumbled upon this gem, I was overjoyed. He then works with Kim Seon-jae ( Yoon Hyeon-min ) and Sin Jay ( Lee Yoo-young ) to track down the criminal from 30 years ago. I dont know if youve watched a little K-drama called Signal starring Lee Je Hoon, but If you have seen it then you will understand when I say Tunnel is very similar to Signal in terms of the time travel side of it. After, a hand crashes the plant and the dead is revived before the release date flashes on the screen. In 'Tunnel - Drama', Choi Jin-hyeok takes on the role of detective Park Gwang-ho who went after a criminal in a tunnel in the year 1886 but crossed a line 30 years later to 2017. An accompanying text reads, "to revive the dead, a price must be paid". Inside, she discovers strange markings on a rock and the resurrection plant. Reply 1988 was the third of the Reply franchise from tvN and is easily the best of the bunch.
#Why k drama tunnel only one episode series
The series has since dropped to fourth place, only losing out to some extremely popular dramas. In the short but tense teaser, the footage also shows a young Ashin holding a torch as she enters a dark, eerie cave. For over three years Reply 1988 was the highest-rated cable K-Drama series in history. Ashin’s identity and the part she plays in the events that take place in the Kingdom series will also be explored. In this "sidequel", that question and many others will be answered as we follow the backstory of Ashin, who seems to know about the origins of the resurrection plant that brings people back from the dead. I recommend giving it a try, but be ready to be at the edge of your seat each episode, and be warned that youll probably spend sixteen hours in front of your screen because its hard to stop watching one you start.
When a modern day chef gets trapped in the body of a queen in the Joseon era, chaos ensues. It's theorised that Ashin is spreading the virus on purpose. 'Tunnel' is not a perfect drama but its a good addition to the ever-growing crime genre in Korean dramas. Queen: With Hye-Sun Shin, Kim Jung-hyun, Seol In-ah, Jae-won Lee. We see the final shot of a woman, Ashin smiling mysteriously. An example I can think of early in the show would be Park Sun Woo. Queen a chance when I found out Shin Hye-sun was one of the main characters (I love her acting). There are clearly set rules 1) One goes back in time using special incense sticks, 2) Each incense stick burns for a total of 30 min., 3) One can only go back exactly 20 years, 4) Time is linear, and events that changed in the past affect the future as that change happens. To be honest, I actually dont like historical dramas because of two simple things: 1. Towards the end of season two, Chang and Seo-bi find the resurrection plant near the Chinese border and are told by the villagers that someone from China is selling it. Queen (2020 - 2021) is my only favorite historical drama.
